Ingredients of Butter Chicken

  1. You need 1 of chicken breast (cut in cubes).
  2. It's 2 of big tomato roughly chopped.
  3. It's 1 of small onion roughly chopped.
  4. It's 2-3 of garlic cloves.
  5. You need 1/2 inch of ginger.
  6. It's 1 of big cardamom.
  7. You need 1 of small cardamom.
  8. Prepare 3-4 of cloves.

  11. It's 1 tbsp of kashmiri red chilli powder.
  12. It's to taste of Salt.
  13. Prepare 1 tbsp of sugar.

  17. Prepare 3-4 tbsp of fresh cream.
  18. You need 1 cup of water.
  19. It's of Marination.
  20. It's 3-4 tbsp of hung yoghurt.
  21. It's to taste of Salt.
  22. It's 2 tbsp of oil.
  23. It's 1 tbsp of kashmiri red chilli powder.
  24. Prepare 1 of fresh lime juice.
  25. You need 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste.

It's a creamy and perfectly spiced Indian curry recipe with tender. Succulent marinated chicken steeped in a rich and creamy tomato sauce. Make a better version of this Indian favorite with a few easy tricks. It's simplified and cooked all in one pan and goes great with a side of rice or naan!

Butter Chicken instructions

  1. First marination : Take chicken in a bowl add salt to taste and ginger garlic paste. Mix and keep aside for 10 mins..
  2. Second marination : In another bowl take oil, add kashmiri red chilli powder and mix. Next add hung yoghurt, little salt if required, fresh lime juice and mix well..
  3. Add chicken cubes marinated in step one into second marination. Keep it aside for 10-15..
  4. In a pan take 1 cup water, add tomatoes, onion, ginger, garlic, small and big cardamom, bay leaf, cloves, cashew nuts and kashmiri red chilli powder. Cover in let it cook for 7-10 mins or till the tomatoes are mushy. Keep stirring in between..
  5. After the above pan mix is cool, remove small and big cardamom, cloves and bay leaf out from it..
  6. Next make the puree of the remaining things above and strain the puree to get smooth texture..
  7. In the other pan heat 2 tbsp butter add the slit green chilli, add the strained puree and cook for 3-4 mins..
  8. Add salt as per taste and 1 tbsp sugar and mix. Let it cook for few mins. Keep it aside..
  9. Heat a non-stick pan put 1 tbsp oil and add marinated chicken. Cook for 7-10 mins or untill done. Keep flipping the sides to cook all sides..
  10. Add the chicken pieces to the gravy and cook again on the low flame..
  11. Add kasuri methi and fresh cream. Mix well. Check salt and sugar at this stage. Cook for another 2 minutes..
  12. Garnish with some butter and fresh cream. Serve hot with Roti or rice..
